Four Seasons to Open New Hotel in Historic Saudi Arabia

Four Seasons and Diriyah Gate Development Authority, developers of the Diriyah Master Plan, are working together to create this new hotel.

The Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, Saudi Arabia will offer a luxury hotel experience at the 300-year-old site of Diriyah, located just outside of Riyadh.

A significant development

When it opens, the Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, Saudi Arabia will place guests in the future development of Diriyah, paying homage to Saudi Arabia’s history.

This development located 15 minutes from the center of Riyadh will encompass 13 different neighborhoods comprising residences, hotels, offices, businesses, museums, cultural institutions and outdoor attractions. The development is part of the Saudi Vision 2030 plans.

Local inspiration

The new Four Seasons hotel will house approximately 150 guest rooms and suites, as well as four restaurants including a poolside area and sunset lounge, wellness facilities including a spa and fitness center, two outdoor pools and extensive event space.

This property will be positioned adjacent to the cultural district of Diriyah along the Wadi Hanifah escarpment. The hotel will reflect local tradition through its design, led by Aedas and Elastik.

The development of Diriyah aims to become one of the most walkable cities in the Middle East and the largest cultural and heritage site in the world, designed to honor local heritage with traditional Najdi architecture with rooftop terraces, decorated gates and courtyards.

Considered the cradle of the kingdom, as well as the capital of the first Saudi state, Diriyah is the setting for the UNESCO World Heritage Site, At-Turaif, as well as the valley and palm groves of Wadi Hanifah.
