REPORTS

BOURGEOIS, 2022-02220282 Block 1100 N. Glebe Rd. At around 9:20 p.m. on February 22, police were dispatched to report a burglary in progress. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located the suspect in the N. Glebe Road and Washington Boulevard area and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined that at approximately 9:16 p.m., a witness observed the suspect force his way into the business by throwing an object through the window, shattering the glass. The suspect then allegedly damaged the cash register and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot. No other items were reported stolen. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect had also damaged the glass front door of an adjacent business, but no entry was reportedly made inside. During the investigation, the suspect provided false identifying information, but officers were later able to correctly identify the suspect. Stephen Pugh, 58, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with burglary, petty theft, destruction of property (x2) and identity theft. He also received outstanding warrants from the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office. He was held without bail.

BURGLAR (late), 2022-02220069, 2600 block of the Richmond Highway. At around 8:12 a.m. on February 22, police were dispatched to a late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on February 21, the unknown suspect(s) entered the victims’ hotel room and stole various electronic devices. There is no description of suspect(s). The investigation is ongoing.
