HYDERABAD: Minister of Forestry and Environment Indrakaran Reddy officially launched the Kawal Tiger Reserve (KTR) website in Aranya Bhawan on Tuesday. The website – www.kawaltiger.com – provides comprehensive information about Kawal Tiger Reserve and serves as a comprehensive guide for tourists and visitors.

It also displays a list of flora and fauna in the KTR area besides providing information on tourist activities, hotels, resorts, urban forest park and other nearby tourist destinations. He also helps tourists to book tours, Jungle Safari etc.

It also provides an overview of wildlife habitat management practices such as grasslands, watersheds and waterholes. The Minister has also published a special brochure on managed grasslands in the Kawal forest area. On this occasion, he also appreciated Field Manager Vinod Kumar for his efforts to increase the number of animals in the reserve.

PCCF RM Dobriyal said the experimentally developed grasslands in Kawal were recognized nationally and by experts from the National Tiger Conservation Agency (NTCA). Another state tiger conservation center, Amrabad Tiger Reserve, released the annual management report through Minister Indrakaran Reddy. Field Manager Srinivas has prepared this annual report covering Amrabad Forest features, management, animal welfare, personnel management, etc.
