Deals and discounts from airlines, hotels, tour operators and travel agencies await Balikbayans who return home this Christmas season.

This, after the Department of Tourism (DOT) launched its one-stop-shop Balikan.ph which offers up to 50% off exclusive vacation packages to Returning Overseas Filipinos (OF) and Filipino workers. abroad (OFW).

The Balikan.ph site is part of the DOT’s “Balikan ang Pilipinas†campaign to encourage OFs and OFWs to return home for the holiday season and rediscover the Philippines with their loved ones.

“Through the Balikan.ph website, we are able to provide exceptional travel deals from DOT accredited airlines and hotels, resorts and tour operators to our Balikbayans and their families,” said the Secretary of Tourism. , Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.

“It’s one way to make their visit here more affordable and more fun, especially after a long separation caused by the pandemic,” she added.

Different promotions and travel packages will be displayed on the website, which will take them to the merchant page for more information on offers and discounts.

The offers were organized in cooperation with the various airlines, DOT accredited establishments, the Philippine Tour Operators Association Inc. (PHLTOA), the Philippine Hotel Owners Association Inc. (PHOA) and the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International Inc. (HSMA).

Interested Balikbayans are encouraged to check the site regularly for an updated list and details on travel offers. The campaign will run until March 2022.
