PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mario Gotze has revealed his team’s bus was parked at a different hotel to avoid loud fireworks on the eve of their Europa Conference League clash with Copenhagen.
The two teams entered Thursday with a tie on the line after an entertaining 4-4 draw in the first leg.
But PSV brushed off the Danish side with a comfortable 4-0 away win, with Gotze even putting himself on the scoresheet.

And the 29-year-old revealed he had a brilliant plan of action in place after hearing Copenhagen fans were planning to interrupt them the day before the match by setting up loud fireworks outside their hotel.
In his post-match interview, Gotze was asked if he liked fireworks and if he was looking forward to them. Confused at first, the interviewee went into detail and Gotze burst out laughing.
He said: ‘Yes, we placed the bus at the hotel, so that was on purpose. I slept very well!’
PSV entered the break 2-0 thanks to goals from Eran Zahavi and Gotze. Zahavi then got his second of the game in the 79th minute before Noni Madueke completed the beating in injury time.
The Europa Conference League quarter-final draw will take place on Friday afternoon with Leicester, Marsielle, Roma, PAOK, Slavia Prague, Feyenoord and FK Bodø/Glimt all in the hat.
PSV players will have been well rested for the match following their brilliant plan of action
