Website posts video allegedly showing Saints punching man Kamara in Las Vegas

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A video allegedly showing Saints running back Alvin Kamara punching a man in the hallway of a Las Vegas hotel nine months ago was released by a celebrity news site on Saturday 5 november.

TMZ Sports said it exclusively obtained the video, which it says shows Kamara and others punching and kicking Darnell Greene Jr. on Feb. 5 inside the Cromwell Hotel and Casino.

Kamara’s face is not visible and Fox 8 could not verify the authenticity of the video. But the footage from the video appears to match still photos attached as exhibits at a recent trial.

Greene filed a $10 million lawsuit against the Saints star last month in Orleans Parish Civil District Court. Greene’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, responded to a request for comment on the video on Saturday, saying:

“There are several videos that exist, from different angles before and after the attack. Our team has yet to post any videos and is unsure how TMZ acquired the particular video that was posted. It seems that the video published by TMZ is indeed authentic. As seen in the video, Mr. Greene was assaulted and beaten without provocation. Worse, Mr. Kamara bragged and laughed at his conduct after the fact. We also have it on video. We look forward to bringing this case to a jury and getting justice for Mr. Greene. We also hope that the NFL will take note of the seriousness of Mr. Kamara’s conduct and act accordingly at some point.

Kamara faces a criminal battery charge in Nevada, where the next hearing in his case is scheduled for Wednesday, November 9.

Kamara has yet to face NFL discipline over the incident. He is expected to play for the Saints against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, in a Caesars Superdome game that will be televised on Fox 8. Coverage begins with Fox 8 Tailgate at 5:30 p.m.
