Polo Towers Agartala Hotel Celebrates Grand Cake Mixing Ceremony in Pre-Christmas Style

The Polo Towers Agartala hotel is today celebrating the Grand Cake Mixing Ceremony in style on its Regency Lawn where guests from media houses, bloggers and many of the city’s influencers were in attendance.

The practice of cake mixing starts quite early, mostly in the first week of November. It’s an age-old tradition where kilograms of dried fruits, nuts, grains and spices are combined to form a mixture. This mixture is then soaked in alcoholic mixtures for a few days to let them soak up all the flavors and aromas. Finally, it is divided into parts that go into the cake batter, from which other Christmas fruit/plum cakes are baked.

According to Gunjan Kumar, general manager of the cluster under the supervision of the Polo Towers hotel, Agartala had a gala cake mixed with a beautiful atmosphere, said, “It’s a beautiful ceremony where you don’t just prepare for the festival to come, but also to share the joy of welcoming the festive spirit that is so synonymous with Christmas.

Food and Beverage Manager Mr. Sujit Chakraborty and Bakery Chef Ankit Sharma further added that this ceremony where traditional liquors were mixed with raisins, sultanas, cashews, almonds , plums and peaches, and the soaked nuts were stored in large containers for use in Christmas baking.”

“We invite all our valued guests to come and celebrate the festival at the hotel during Christmas and New Year at the end of this year,” added the Managing Director of the Polo Towers Agartala cluster, Gunjan Kumar.
