The McKinney Tourism Grant application cycle is now open; the deadline is October 7

McKinney, Texas – Visit McKinney is now accepting tourism grant applications from entities planning events or initiatives that promote the town of McKinney as a tourist destination.

“It is our mission as the city’s tourism entity to inject new dollars into the city’s economy by attracting leisure and business travelers to McKinney,” said Aaron Werner, Executive Director by Visit McKinney. “These grant funds give us the opportunity to help groups market and promote projects that are primarily aimed at visitors, but that locals can also enjoy!”

Visit McKinney is offering $30,000 per year to qualified applicants, which is awarded in two rounds of $15,000 each. The Visit McKinney Board of Directors allocates grant funds based on guidelines established by the state governing the use of hotel tax.
