Updated Booking.com hotel booking app with new iOS wishlist functionality

[ad_1]

The official iOS app of the popular hotel reservation service Booking.com just received another major update. The new update doesn’t redesign or optimize the app for iOS 7. But it does introduce a major new feature: Wishlists. With the new version of Booking.com for iOS, you can now create wishlists for your next trips directly from the app:

It’s the ‘favorites’ feature you know and love, but organized into lists, which makes planning even easier. Create a wishlist of places to stay for your next trip and keep them handy on any device until you’re ready to book. If you’re not sure where you’re going, but know you want to get away from it all, create a weekend wishlist. With all your favorites presented in easy-to-navigate lists, choosing the perfect place to stay has never been easier!

To start creating your wishlists, simply find a property you want to visit, swipe over its cell, and tap the heart icon. You can also tap the heart icon directly from the hotel screen. Note that Booking.com’s wishlist feature requires a Booking.com account. As an advantage of this requirement, wishlists can be synced between devices with the same Booking.com account. In addition to the new wishlist feature, a new iPhone side menu is introduced by the new Booking.com app update. This side menu can be accessed by tapping the menu icon on the app’s home screen or swiping right on the screen.
The new version of Booking.com for iOS is now available for free in the App Store. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later. As mentioned, it has yet to be redesigned and optimized for iOS 7, however. Booking.com for iOS is listed as a “Notable App†in AppAdvice’s Hotel Deal Finder AppGuide.
