Thapanee said the agency is keen to support startups, especially TravelTechs to Thailand, helping them face international competition.

Location.com, a new hotel reservation platform backed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), debuted on October 1, 2021 to help boost the country’s reopening.

This recently launched platform is an alternative to other online travel agencies like Agoda and Traveloka. It is part of season 2 of the startup TAT Travel Tech.

TAT’s deputy home marketing governor Thapanee Kiatpaiboon said the agency is keen to support startups, especially Thailand’s TravelTechs, by helping them maneuver them in the face of international competition.

What makes this platform different from others is that it does not collect any commission from participating hotels, and allows companies to communicate directly with real users of the platform through posts and messages. direct. The proceeds of the income saved can then translate into additional privileges or perks offered to hotel guests, such as free airport shuttles or minibars.

The platform also supports government phase 3 of the “We Travel Together†or “Rao Tiew Duay Gun†program with 2 million eligible accounts. It started accepting bookings from October 1, 2021. Here is the link to the platform: https://location.com/
