Senior center to hold bingo – Times News Online

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will hold its monthly bingo event on March 27.

Doors open at 1 p.m. and bingo starts at 2 p.m.

Refreshments will be available for purchase.

There will be a tricky platter and a 50/25/25 raffle. There will also be a piggy bank number. The last special of the day, the combination jackpot, is $100.

Bingo players are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Whitehall Food Pantry, located at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church will host its annual Lenten Fish Dinner from 4-6 p.m. on April 1 in the Parish Hall on Pershing Boulevard.

Order forms are available on the parish website, sercc.org, or at the parish office.

Return forms and payment by March 28.

The menu includes breaded fish, roast potatoes, vegetables, coleslaw and rolls. Mac and cheese are also available, at the price of the container.

Take-out meals are available.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape Street, observes the season of Lent and worship using the words and music of the Holden Evening Prayer, written by Marty Hagen.

This service incorporates prayer and music and is an inspiring way to worship in this time of reflection in a difficult world.

Services are scheduled at 6 p.m. every Wednesday through April 6.

UCC St. John’s collects items for the Lehigh Conference of Churches Visitor Center, which provides a shower for those in need.

Necessary items are shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand/body lotion, disposable razors and toilet paper. Trial/hotel sizes are preferred.

You can deposit your donations in the Fritze Hall basket. This will be an ongoing collection, so donations are welcome at any time.
