The Morrison Hotel Gallery launches immersive new website of incredible rock and roll photography

The Morrison Hotel Gallerywhich exists as a living archive of the collected works of over 125 of the world’s most renowned music photographers, revamped its website with a new look today, July 5.

The hope is that those visiting the website will have an experience comparable to those visiting one of Morrison Hotel Gallery’s three physical locations in person (in West Hollywood, New York and Lahaina, Hawaii).

According to a press release, MHGallery’s new website features a “collector-friendly interface, cutting-edge design, artificial intelligence technology, immersive brand activations, customizable wishlists, Shop Pay features, a personalized artistic consulting service and more”.

If you have yet to visit the Morrison Hotel Gallery and its solid archives and consider yourself interested in music history, you are missing something. As legendary photographer Henry Diltz told Rock Cellar during a conversation last June at the NAMM Show, the gallery’s reach is wide and expansive:

“Well, we started 20 years ago in Soho, New York, and then it was a place to sell my pictures with a couple of friends, and it was all my pictures on the wall. And then we We were playing Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, we were playing this music. People would come in and see all these pictures and hear this music and be like, ‘Oh my god, this is my whole life.’ You know? And it was really cool. And then we started recruiting other photographers. Now I’m lucky to have two or three on the wall, because we have 125 photographers! So it’s great to be part of it and to offer all these photos.
