Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurates online the bilingual district website developed by the NIC Budgam team

Kashmir is an essential part of PM Modi’s trip to New India. It is time to take advantage of the huge new openings initiated over the last 8 years, which are shaping the destinies of 135 million Indians, under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This was stated by the Union Minister of State (I/C) at the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Minister of State (I/C) at the Ministry of Earth Sciences, the MoS in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Personnel, Public Claims and Pensions, Dr Jitendra. Singh while addressing a public rally in Budgam today.

Titled “Gareeb Kalyan Sammelan”, the event was held at Bihishte Zahra Park in Budgam to mark the completion of eight years in the service of the current government.

Dr Singh said a three tier system of government has been introduced for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir in seventy years and people will soon see and feel the benefits of such system.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister deliberated on different centrally sponsored programs and different initiatives launched by the Modi government to ensure equitable development for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, of which they have been deprived for a long time without fail. from them.

The minister also distributed benefits under Mudra, PM Svanidhi, Ayushman Bharat, PMAY-G and various programs related to agriculture and horticulture and distributed various logistics among them.

The Sammelan was also addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via virtual mode from Shimla. The Prime Minister also credited Rs 21,000 crore in farmers’ accounts through DBT mode on occasion.

Later, the minister also interacted with district and sector officials in a meeting convened at the new conference hall in Budgam. During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, through a PowerPoint presentation, highlighted the overall profile of the district, major achievements of various departments in sectors such as electricity, water supply, roads, social welfare, agriculture, horticulture and related activities. The minister gave an update on the state of various sectors including health, education, water supply and road construction, among others.

On occasion, Dr. Singh laid the electronic foundation for different development projects including Watalpora-Wahabpora Road, Gariend-Wadwan Road Upgrade and Dajimalik Gund, Punch Gund, Nijloo Wahpora Upgrade including Mamgund Road. Electronic foundations were also laid for a receiving station at Ompora Budgam.

The Minister also online inaugurated OPD Block, SDH Nagam Theater of Operations and Quarters, additional accommodation for Chadoora Model Higher Secondary School, Middle Anganwadi Training Center in Karipora, Budgam and Govt. Wagoora BK Pora High School, Budgam.

The Minister also launched online the district’s bilingual website designed and developed by NIC Team Budgam. It is pertinent to mention here that the website will act as a vital link between the district administration and the citizens regarding the dissemination of information.

An awareness and training program on environmentally friendly and sustainable farming methods and the demonstration and distribution of solar pumps by the Department of Science and Technology were also held at the Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall on this occasion. .

Commenting on the potential of Budgam, the Honorable Minister said that the district has the greatest assets in the form of agriculture, horticulture and other related activities. He said that in this direction, more areas need to be explored so that the maximum resources are harnessed for the socio-economic development of the public.

The minister insisted on holding a massive sensitization campaign and requested KVK Budgam, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine and SKUAST to organize a joint seminar with sensitization programs in the near future to give a new impetus to agricultural activities in Budgam district. Some villages in Budgam will be identified and developed as solar villages, the minister announced.

While concluding, the Minister applauded the efforts of the Budgam district administration for the measures and initiatives taken for the overall development of the district. The minister also commended the sincere coordination and joint synergy between the district administration and the elected officials, including the DDCs, BDCs and PRI workers in the district.
